THE FULL MONTY HAS CLOSED
The National Theatre Melbourne
A raucous, pop-rock-musical send up of gender expectations and stereotypes..
that literally takes it all off.
Who is big enough to drop their pants in our nightly celebrity cameo?
Based on the smash hit film, The Full Monty (a ten-time Tony nominee) is musical comedy at its best with a highly anticipated closing number!
With a fast-paced book by Terrence McNally (Ragtime, Catch Me If You Can) and high energy score by David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), this Broadway team have created a show that speaks to your core and catches your eye.
Set in Buffalo, New York, an unlikely group of unemployed men set out to reinvent themselves as an all-male strip group. What starts as a money making venture soon becomes a journey of self-discovery and friendship, learning that the whole is greater than the sum of their parts.
Produced by Melbourne’s acclaimed independent production company, StageArt, in association with The National Theatre Melbourne, The Full Monty is a heartfelt adventure wrapped in a hilarious night of entertainment.
StageArt are proudly supporting The Learning For Life Autism Centre Inc by donating a proportion of proceeds
“The Full Monty is that rare aggressive crowd pleaser that you don't have to apologize for liking.” The New York Times
